Mathematical analysis of depilation using combinations of amylase and protease

Using mathematical analysis, we confirmed the existence of the synergistic effect of unhairing pigskins with amylase and protease. The standardized coefficient of the synergistic effect was 0.894, while that of protease was only 0.183, this means that the synergistic effect of amylase and protease is far greater than the effect of protease alone. On the other hand, the effect of amylase is reduced compared to using amylase alone. The order of the effect on unhairing is: the synergistic effect >protease >amylase. The research shows that combining the enzymes greatly increases the depilatory activity of the preparations without increasing the total amount of enzyme required.
